Bienvenido los amigos

Early of the month, we received newcomer from Malaysia, coming for studying here. Rin, Is and Aishah are now exploring the city and again, when it comes to exploration, we do not want to miss the joy. We tried new poses, indulge ourselves in the city like new kids with new toys. Who cares? This is our life. Those pictures said more than thousands words.
Que es eso? Un culito?
Ciutat de Olimpica
Ode, I was at your place last week, where were you?
Tickle tickle tickle
Trying to capture photo like Zarina, but I guess I need a better equipment..Hmmm let's calculate, can we buy it darling?
Nice reminder
Crazy parents...(wish the baby can jump too, hehehe)
Good parents...

Not so new addiction (part 2)

We are neither rich nor poor. However we try to enjoy life and do all things that we love to do, try to achieve whatever things we want to have. We put aside money to enter parks or special places with fees like museum and zoo. Instead of trashing whatever we got with our stipent allowance we manage things as good as possible. But the problem with us is the saving for one thing usually went for other.

Recently, we saved to enter Casa Batllo. It costs 16Euro per person. We wanted to get inside and look at the amazing things Zarina and Rezal told us during their visit last summer, then my hubby came across something that hard to let go. A spanish guitar on sale with a good bargain. He told me, and then it become so difficult to resist. And the money goes for a spanish guitar instead of entering Casa Batllo. Never mind, we are not on vacation in Barcelona, we have another 3 years to go. If God permits with all the doa from parents and our 'family' here, the city might be 'our' place.

Now, the craziness increases. We play guitar together and hormonized songs. "welcome to the hotel california, what a lovely place, what a lovely face...."Welcome to the family

More of Eid

At last, I am able to have the pictures of open house at K Akma's place, not one but quite a number... So here are they.
After being hurt and left out because the men had their all gentlemen picture, the ladies had their turn. From left to right, Honeysuckle, Emmy, Vita, The hostess, Kak Akma, Erit and Shasha (the little one)
All of us, with the happy pose
They decided to loosen their stomach by cycling in order to make some space for.... ermmmm let me see, the 4th round?

Yang Terbaik Bagimu (Jangan Lupakan Ayah)

Teringat masa kecilku
Kau peluk dan kau manja
Indahnya saat itu
Buatku melambung
Disisimu terngiang
Hangat nafas segar harum tubuhmu
Kau tuturkan segala mimpi-mimpi
Serta harapanmu

Kau ingin ku menjadi
Yang terbaik bagimu
Patuhi perintahmu
Jauhkan godaan
Yang mungkin kulakukan
Dalam waktuku beranjak dewasa
Jangan sampai membuatku
Terbelenggu jatuh dan terinjak

Tuhan tolonglah sampaikan
Sejuta sayangku untuknya
Ku terus berjanji
Tak kan khianati pintanya
Ayah dengarlah betapa sesungguhnya
Ku mencintaimu
Kan ku buktikan ku mampu penuhi maumu

Andaikan detik itu
Kan bergulir kembali
Kurindukan suasana
Basuh jiwaku
Membahagiakan aku
Yang haus akan kasih dan sayangmu
Tuk wujudkan segala sesuatu
Yang pernah terlewati

This song is dedicated especially to my dad. I miss you very much. Thank you very much for everything, for the life lesson, for your love and appreciation. Nothing compares to you.

My Family & Eid ul Fitri

My family celebrated Eid without my sister, Mimi and I this year. But a little bit relieved as this year their baju raya could not been collected from the tailor on time. Only the little one (not so little any more, she is now about my height) did. So, the 'theme' thing failed. Hahaha. I guessed the jealousy bloomed because I don't have any. So, this is my family Eid's pic. I am still waiting from Mimi to give me hers. Selamat Hari Raya to all my family, aunties, uncle, cousins, friends and foe. Maaf Zahir Batin from three of us here.
Clockwise: Abang, Adik, Ibu & Abah

Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri

We have neither baju kurung nor baju melayu which suitable for the journey, so to get a feel, we went pink on theme

All my blogger friends already put an entry about Eid, regardless celebrating it abroad or with family in Malaysia. As for me, the first day of raya was dull. Luckily, we had special invitation for lunch at Kak Sobiah's house. Oh ya, we celebrate Eid a day earlier from our family back home. On Wednesday, classes start as usual till Friday. Then the real Eid started.

Our first invitation for open house was from Kak Akma. Yet, as our nesting place is of the size of butterfly cocoon, we declared ourselves as informal co-host. We prepared satay and brought it there. It had been a year without satay! So this time we really went all out. Err... Sorry ya, my camera is running out of battery, and still waiting for pics from my friends - at Kak Akma's place

Next on Sunday, we went again to Kak Sobiah's house. No shame at all as Kak Sobiah cooks finger licking good food, with home made spices. No ready made or instance one maaa. And again, I ate like I have been fasting the whole year. And her teh tarik, yummy! Difficult to get a good one like hers even in Malaysia, I tell you!
At Kak Sobiah, after all the food yet still manage to avoid from being anaconda

Above all, we still missed our family. No place like home is totally true. Still, we are grateful to have our 'family' here. To Kak Sobiah & family, Kak Akma & family, Emmy & family, Indra, Erit, Edwin (macammanalah Edwin yang tak puasa boleh raya jugak ni....)Thank you very much for lovely Eid ul Fitri.

Tagged

In my life as a blogger, I never know what is tag, how to tag people, and how to answer back. So when I´ve been tagged by Didie, I just copy and paste the questions, then answer it. I even laughing to myself when thinking about the answers that I would like to give so that I reveal the real me. And as a favorite nuisance of my husband, I kept asking him, what did I say most of the time, what is the title of that song and why don´t the put this question in the tag pack. But eventually I managed to get the best possible answer from the real me and here it is.

1) What is the most important thing in your life?
If family is considered as one entity, it would be my family, and beside money of course! Who says "ulat dalam batu pun boleh hidup?"

2) What is the last thing that you bought with your own money?
By refering to Zarina justification, it would be A Tommy Hilfiger shirt during sale season. It is big,XL in size and I am petite plus skinny, XS or S size. But since I really want it....yeah, I know, stupid me.

3) Where do you wish to get married?
At my dad´s house. I got it. By the way it is not where does matter, but how. My dad performed the akad. Thanks abah.

4) How old do you think you will be permanently owned by your love?
Forever by the ´boss´up there

5) Are you in love?
Claro que si, everyday is like the first 50 date. No kidding

6) I wonder where is question no. 6. I checked on Didie - not available, Zarina - also not available. So, lets go to question 7.

7)Name the latest book that you bought?
Waaa....so many maa. Let me see, a book of paella as a gift to a friend, and 3 thriller novels.

8)What is your full name?
Proud to be Farrah Merlinda binti Muharam

9) Do you prefer your mother or father
I think most of my blog followers can guess, my abah, but I loooovveee my ibu very much on every single little thing she has. In short, it is not fair for me to choose!

10) Name a person that you really wish to meet in real life for the first time
Harry Porter and the gang?

11) Christina or Britney?
Wish I can answer Avril

12) Do you do your own laundry?
Of course! I am very particular about my clothes. White with white, dark colors go together, soft colors another. "Yang, nila dah habis tak buleh nak basuh baju ni..."

13) The most exciting place you want to go?
Peru to visit Machu Pichu

14) Hugs or kisses?
Hugs as it may lead to more than kisses (wink, wink)

15) Point out 5 things about the person who tagged you.
She´s cool, one of my hubby´s good friends, kind of connected when I met her the first time. A good mother, I like the way she thinks. I know her mostly from my hubby and she is valuable friend I can say.

16) 8 things I am passionate about:
Things that I start on my own:
1.Hunting with my dad (I can´t do on my own because have no lesen senjata api)
2.Driving
3.Traveling
4.Guitar
5.Sport ranging from aerobics, squash, ping pong, dart (is this considered sport?), netball, volleyball, petanque, bowling

Things that been influenced by my significant half:
1.Cycling
2.Blogging
3.Cooking (just started here and never know that I got the talent)
4.And again traveling, but this time hard core traveler aka back packing. (Huhuhu, selekeh betul rasanya tak mandi lebih 24 jam)

17) 8 things I say too often:

Nape shayang..? (To my baby)
Nape yang? (To my hubby)
Tak kuasa..
Vale, vale, vale (sort of okay)
Bueno (another sort of okay)
Hola
Gracias
Hasta luego

hmmm.. not sure whether I am woman with few words or many words and the greetings are compulsory as Spanish are very friendly. They will talk to you, exchange news even you cannot understand a single word. That´s how I improve my Castellano.

18)4 books I’ve read recently:
A painted house by John Grisham (5 star)
Hard Rain by Barry Eisler (bor-ing!)
the other 2 I can't remember. All thriller except A painted house.

19) 8 songs I could listen to over and over again:
I couldn´t make it up to 8, but I have some...
1.The theme of That 70´s show (My baby and I are sort of becoming a fan as my hubby is a big fan)
2. Soldier of Fortune by Deep Purple
3. Hotel California by Eagle
4. Satu Hari di Hari Raya by M. Nasir
(these songs are which my significant half strummed with his guitar
5. And the new addiction: Cak cekur genggam gamit...

20) 8 things I learnt last year:
1.I can cook!
2.A new language, Castellano aka Spanish. (madre mia, dificil!)
3.Be patient (Zarina know why - fiesta la, tranquilla la)

Astaghfirullah! Are these the only thing I learnt? I wasted my year.

8 people that I love to tag
My enemy (I don´t know who, wish I knew)
Eh, can I tagged people without blog? As far as I concern those I want to tag have no blog. Yet, if I can, I want Nazatul Akmar Abdul Halim, Syamsul Azri Ishak, Kak Akma, Emmy, Indra Wibowo and Erit to be added to the list.
